The School of Nursing offers Undergraduate and Graduate Programs of Study.

Students apply to the pre-licensure undergraduate program at the beginning of the Junior year. The School of Nursing accepts transfer students from community colleges. There are articulation agreements with many local and state community colleges. This agreement facilitates easy transfer of courses taken prior to admission to the university and School of Nursing. Students who have earned an RN degree apply to the School of Nursing after completion of all university General Education and School of Nursing pre-requisites. We offer on-campus and online options.

Students apply to all graduate and certificate programs through the Graduate School. The School of Nursing offers three majors with opportunities for specialization within some majors. It is possible to earn a Graduate or Post-Master’s Certificate in selected areas.  Frequently Asked Questions about the Graduate Programs .

Graduate Program (PhD)
The Health Services Research doctoral program is an interdisciplinary, collaborative program in the College of Health and Human Services. This program prepares graduates in the development and dissemination of new knowledge though outcomes research to improve both the practice and delivery of health and human services in individuals and populations. Research focuses on access to care, effectiveness, and quality and organization of healthcare delivery systems.   

Accreditation
All of our degree programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) through 2011, and approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
