Pathophysiology Complex Illness and Disease Management Simulation Clinicals Undergraduate Retention Coordinator RN-BSN courses

Mary Smith, MSN, RN, CNE, is a senior lecturer and Undergraduate Retention Coordinator in the School of Nursing. Her specialty area is Adult Health nursing with interests in Pathophysiology and Complex Illness and Disease Management as well as test taking skills and clinical simulation. In recent years, she has developed complex clinical scenarios for the School of Nursing simulation lab, using SimMan to synchronize classroom content with authentic clinical experiences.  Ms. Smith has conducted numerous local, regional and national presentations regarding such topics as test item writing, innovative teaching strategies, and creative utilization of simulation in didactic and clinical courses.
